What the 28 Day Program Is All About

Kick-start? Make some changes to your current diet that is really going to kick-start your metabolism through a controlled food list and plenty of regular exercise!  This is where we start to create some positive habits that consistently reinforced will change your life for the better, forever!

Re-set?  Sounds scary, but it’s not, this isn’t a crazy fad diet with awful tasting tea, pills and powders.  All we need to do stop putting stuff into our body that’s not going to help us achieve our goals, our bodies actually do all the hard work by themselves and detox naturally. In a Nut Shell

What are we going to do?

  • Eliminate added sugar from your diet.
  • Reduce high energy carbs from your diet. Eliminate processed foods from your diet.
  • Eliminate alcohol from your diet

Why?

The majority of us eat too much added sugar, high energy carbs (that our bodies turn into more sugar) and processed foods with more sugar and added preservatives etc.  Our bodies don’t need this stuff! Alcohol can simply get in the way of our goals as it is prioritised by your body to process first making our bodies store other nutrients as fat (unless you are exercising and drinking at the same time…please don’t try this it is not recommended at all)!

By doing this your body won’t have easy access to the sugar that it needs for energy, so your body will respond by tapping into stores of fat for energy.

For most of you on the program, you will be reducing your calorie intake but you don’t have to worry about calorie counting as we will be replacing high calories foods from the 4 things we are eliminating above with lots and lots of low calorie and nutritious foods being a wonderful variety of protein and vegetables.

There are a couple of exceptions including those with special dietary needs including vegetarians and nursing mothers that are highlighted on the allowed food list whose bodies need a higher calorie intake. If you want to count calories or if you are not getting great results then talk to your coach about how to do this and how many calories are appropriate for you.

The program will also help us to re-set our minds and think about what we are really eating, re-programming our tastebuds and re-balancing our nutritional intake so we are eating with what our bodies actually need. What the 28 Day Program is Not About

It is not sugar free – you will get the sugar your body needs from the variety of vegetables you will be eating!

It is not carb free or ketogenic * – you will also get the carbs your body needs from the variety of vegetables. It is not about being hungry – increasing your vegetable intake should keep you full, but if you are hungry you can always eat more vegetables!

* A ketogenic diet is high-fat (75%) low protein (20%) and almost no carbs (5%).  The body does not have enough glucose for energy; therefore stored fats are broken down for energy.
